Ancient suction therapy that releases deep muscle tension, improves circulation, and promotes profound healing from the inside out.
Book Cupping SessionCupping is an ancient therapeutic technique that has been used for thousands of years across many cultures, from Traditional Chinese Medicine to ancient Egyptian and Middle Eastern healing traditions. This powerful therapy uses glass, silicone, or plastic cups placed on the skin to create suction.
The suction draws blood flow to the area, lifts the fascia and muscle tissue, and creates space for fresh blood, oxygen, and nutrients to flood the area. This process releases deep-seated tension, breaks up adhesions, and stimulates the body's natural healing response.
Cupping is particularly effective for pain relief, muscle recovery, respiratory conditions, and releasing stagnation that has built up in the body over time. Many patients describe the sensation as a deep, relieving pressure—like a reverse massage that lifts rather than presses.
Releases chronic tension, knots, and adhesions that massage alone cannot reach, providing profound relief.
Dramatically increases blood flow to treated areas, bringing oxygen and nutrients for faster healing.
Lifts and separates fascial layers that have become stuck, restoring mobility and reducing pain.
Clears congestion, opens the lungs, and supports recovery from colds, allergies, and asthma.
Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting deep relaxation and stress reduction.
Stimulates the lymphatic system to help remove toxins and metabolic waste from tissues.
Cupping often leaves circular marks on the skin that can range from light pink to deep purple. These marks are not bruises—they are the result of blood being drawn to the surface and stagnation being released from deeper tissues.
The color of the marks actually provides diagnostic information: darker marks typically indicate more stagnation in that area, while lighter marks suggest better circulation. As you continue treatment, marks often become lighter as stagnation clears.
Marks typically fade within 3-10 days, depending on their intensity and your body's healing response. They are painless and a normal, expected part of the treatment.

Most people find cupping to be a relieving sensation rather than painful. You'll feel a pulling or tugging as the suction draws your skin upward, which many describe as a "good pressure" similar to a deep tissue massage. If any cup feels too intense, I can easily adjust the suction.
Cupping marks typically last 3-10 days depending on their intensity. Light pink marks may fade in 1-2 days, while darker purple marks can take up to 10 days. The marks are painless and gradually fade as your body processes the released stagnation.
It's best to avoid intense exercise for 24 hours after cupping. Light movement like walking is fine. Also avoid hot tubs, saunas, and swimming pools for the first 24 hours. Keep the treated areas warm and stay hydrated.
Cupping is safe for most people. However, it may not be appropriate for those with bleeding disorders, those taking blood thinners, pregnant women (on certain areas), or those with skin conditions in the treatment area. I'll review your health history to ensure cupping is right for you.
